- Container: Choose a container with drainage holes to prevent water from sitting at the bottom. Terracotta pots are ideal as they allow the soil to dry out more quickly.
- Pruning: Prune any dead or damaged leaves to maintain the plant’s appearance and encourage new growth. Pruning can also help control the plant’s size.
- Propagation: Senecio Vitalis can be easily propagated from stem cuttings. Allow the cut end to callous over for a few days before planting it in well-draining soil.
- Pests: Watch for common pests like mealybugs and aphids. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
- Support: This plant generally does not require any additional support. Its upright growth habit keeps it stable, but if it becomes too leggy, it can be trimmed and the cuttings can be used for propagation.
